Reversing illness and retaining good health is a goal for which we all strive. Nutritionist Matt Traverso has studied the effects of medication and poor eating habits since before 2012. In his first book, Reverse Diabetes Now, an international best seller, he writes that good health is up to the individual to control. He also writes that many drugs we take for various illnesses only address the symptoms of disease and not the cure. His readers are encouraged to allow the body to heal itself as it is designed. When we allow the body to take advantage of the healing process, diseases will be eradicated.
I had an opportunity to meet Matt Traverso in 2012 at a business meeting. He explained the damage that diabetes medications can do to the body and his commitment to help people become diabetes-free naturally. During later conversations he described the work and research that he and his partner, Dr. Robert O. Young, a Biologist and scientist, accomplished.
Their findings were phenomenal! The diabetes cure was natural, easy to understand, and according to the testimonials on the book site, many of his patients became free of diabetes through his system. The basis of this program or process was to rid the body of disease by increasing the body’s alkaline levels through diet and a little exercise.
As an internet marketer, I marketed and sold the Reverse Diabetes on-line program until the end of 2015. One of my clients, Darlene King, had diabetes, high blood pressure, was overweight, and had been diagnosed with HIV twenty years prior. She was taking several medications daily to manage her illnesses.
Darlene King, author and activist, agreed to go on the 21-day program but continued the program for about three months. Because she had to make a drastic change to her eating habits, it took longer for her to adjust to a new way of selecting foods. She learned that natural, unprocessed food would be the key component to becoming healthy. She became educated on the connection between diet and the effect it has on the body, so much so, she had the ability to change her eating habits and the eating habits of her grandchild as well albeit temporary.
As stated above, she had to go beyond the 21 days stated in the program to see results; however, during the period that I tracked her progress, her diabetes and high blood pressure medications were reduced, and the low white blood cell count, which was a product of being HIV infected had become just below that of an average person.
As a result, she had more energy, and although she naturally had a positive attitude, her outlook on life had changed – she seemed even more happier. Unfortunately she did not overcome her ailments; however, her health showed measurable improvement overall. Darlene was pleased with the results.
It seems that they are the same basic theory and because the first one was the foundation for all the programs developed, it may be safe to say that putting the body into balance may be the secret to optimal health.
